Thirty years inside technology. One practice built around fixing what others leave broken.
Technology Advisor and Founder, Sweet Spot Advisory
Kevin Sweet has spent more than 30 years working inside technology programs at organisations ranging from government agencies and global property developers to early-stage SaaS companies and mid-market businesses. He has held senior roles at Lendlease, where he led a platform that secured over $70M in external funding, and at Greyhound Racing NSW, where he built the entire technology function from scratch. He has run teams of 40 people across five countries and operated as the sole technical driver in environments where nothing existed before he arrived.
Across all of it, the same pattern kept showing up. Businesses were spending real money on technology and not getting real returns. Software was being bought without a clear problem to solve. Systems were accumulating without anyone connecting them to how the business actually worked. The people responsible for the technology were skilled at the tools but removed from the commercial decisions. The people making commercial decisions rarely understood what the technology could or could not do. That gap is where the problems live. Sweet Spot Advisory exists to close it.
This is not an IT contractor. It is not a management consulting firm. Kevin comes in for a fixed three months, works through the technology stack alongside your team, fixes what is broken, documents what exists, and trains the people who will be there when he leaves. The engagement ends with a business that understands its own systems and can run them without outside help. No retainer. No dependency. No reason to come back unless there is a new problem worth solving.

The approach
Your technology problems are almost never about the technology. They are about what your business needed and what got bought instead. Starting with your problem - not the tool - is what separates a system that works from one that gets paid for but never used.
You will not receive a report and a handshake. Everything recommended gets built. Every outcome gets measured. Your team will know how to run what has been built - so you are never dependent on a phone call to keep things working.
On AI: it earns its place when the foundation is right. Not before.
Tools don't transform businesses. People with the right tools do.
